Welcome to Forest Way B&B and Bunkhouse.

Last week the Scottish Government announced that the tourism industry can reopen from 15 July 2020.  We are currently going through a deep cleansing and maintenance programme to make sure we are ready to open from this date.  The date is not guaranteed and the situation may change however we are taking bookings from this date.  No deposit is required however we will expect full payment via BACS a few days before arrival to avoid using cash as recommended.

For existing bookings from 15 July, we plan to be open and your booking will not be affected.  We appreciate the situation is different for everyone, due to being from overseas or personal circumstances.  So if you no longer wish to proceed with your booking please get in touch with us as soon as possible.

We will be following guidelines suggested and as such the following apply:

  • guests will not be expected to share rooms with other groups.  We have 3 private rooms all with ensuite and a room will be allocated to each group (1, 2, 3 or 4 people) for exclusive use.  For groups of more than 6 people they will have to have exclusive use of the entire bunkhouse.
  • the kitchen area is fairly small so nearly impossible to social distance at 2m however we will mark out 2m distances to help.  We would recommend people use face masks and ventilation whilst cooking and use hand sanitiser provided.  Please be respectful to other people at all times.
  • between each different group staying in the bunkhouse we will ensure all surfaces etc are deep cleaned.

Thank you and stay safe.

5 star review  Great little bunkhouse in a very convenient location for bagging loads of Munros and Corbetts :). Comfortable beds, a decent kitchen and an effective drying room. I've stayed a couple of times and will certainly return. Iain (the owner) is also an invaluable source of advice on hill routes.

5 star review  I've stayed here twice now. It's a fine wee bunkhouse, comfortable beds, good showers and ideally located for plenty of local hills, with the Fannichs, Deargs and An Teallach in easy reach, and not too long a drive to get into those lovely Assynt hills. The owner is a keen walker and has a lot of excellent local knowledge. You also get a free beer. Highly recommended 🙂

5 star review  Me and 2 friends bunked here for 1 night. Lovely little place surrounded by forests, very peaceful. You can hear the water flowing nearby which creates a tranquil environment. The owner, Ian is a lovely man. His family is also on the site who are also lovely people. The communal area in the bunkhouse was spacious and offered everything you need. Each guest room has an en suite with 4 bunks in each room. You can also rent these rooms so if you're with a small group you can create a private area. If I ever do the nc500 again I will stay here!

5 star review  Iain and his dad were some of the nicest people we met on our trip through and round Scotland we couldn't have asked for more! The room we stayed in we paid a little extra for to book it out, it was very clean and tidy with a lovely drive area to sit outside. The area around this site should be considered an area of outstanding natural beauty. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in the area!
